BEIS singed the "3+2" Joint degree program with Pratt school of engineering, Duke University. This is the first joint program the BME department of Pratt School singed with domestic Universities. With the purpose of cultivating and inspiring talents in the filed of BME, this program will select 2-3 BME (related) undergraduates from College of Biomedical Engineering & Instrument Science and Chu Kochen Honors College every year, and send them to Duke University to continue their 2-year-study for master degree when they finish the 3-year study at ZJU as undergraduate students. After which, the students will receive a master's degree from both ZJU and Duke U.
Duke University, from 1838, is a top research university. It's always ranked top 20 in the world, and first place in south USA. The rank of it’s BME major is currently at 6th of the world.
In correspondence to the "Double-First Class" development goal of ZJU, BEIS will continue to collaborate with more world's top university building on joint programs, and try to increase the competitiveness and influence of the BME major.
