On October 11th, Prof. Xu got employed as an Adjunct Professor at Yale University. The first round of employment is 5 years (July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2023).
Prof. Xu studied at Zhejiang University from 1999 to 2008 and got his undergraduate and doctoral degrees at that period. After that, he did research as a postdoctoral in the Department of Cell Biology at Yale School of Medicine for many years. The appointment shows the great achievements in the field of biomedical engineering of Zhejiang University and enhances the international influence of College of Biomedical Engineering & Instrument Science. Prof. Xu said that he would carry out in-depth cooperation with Yale University on teaching and research, and focus on promoting international exchanges and curriculum cooperation for undergraduates which assists the construction of “Double First-Class” of Faculty of Information Technology of Zhejiang University.
