On the morning of November 1, 2018, the Alumni Association of College of Biomedical Engineering & Instrument Science, Zhejiang University of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau Bay Area was held on Sea World Culture and Art Center at Shekou, Shenzhen.
Several leaders of College of Biomedical Engineering & Instrument Science, Zhejiang University, leaders of the Alumni Association of Zhejiang University, Shenzhen and alumni from all over the country attended the event.
The meeting passed the alumni association's charter and the first board members were elected. The Alumni Association of College of Biomedical Engineering & Instrument Science, Zhejiang University of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau Bay Area was formally established.
Professor Huang Hai reviewed the 40-year development of the college and introduced the changes of the college in recent years to alumni.
Wang Chunbo, Secretary of College of Biomedical Engineering & Instrument Science party committee, Zhejiang University, granted the board to Chen Siping, President of the Alumni Association.
President Chen gave a speech for the establishment of the Alumni Association.

The establishment of the Alumni Association relies on the support of the college, the university and the Alumni Association of Zhejiang University, Shenzhen. The purpose of the establishment is to provide a platform for alumni to share their emotions and exchange information. Alumni from College of Biomedical Engineering & Instrument Science, Zhejiang University struggled for 40 years from 1978 to 2018.
