For the sake of improving college students’ physical and mental fitness, while enriching students' extracurricular life, enhancing the link between colleges, and promoting a positive culture in the campus, College of Biomedical Engineering and Instrument Science (CBEIS) hosted “Shengyi Cup” badminton cup at the badminton hall, Yuquan Campus on December 15th and December 22nd.
There were sixteen teams from different departments took part in the competition. After the game began, all players quickly got into the game and athletes all fully put themselves into the game, showing their most energetic state of mind and the best skills. The wonderful games won the audience's enthusiastic applause and cheer. After an afternoon of exciting competition, eight teams finally entered the knockout round.
The final round was held as scheduled on December 22nd. To the knockout stage, members of each team were all on their guard to meet the competition. The passion on the field, talents players showed, powerful swing, flexible turn and high skill fight made the charm of badminton infected the whole court. Finally, after three exciting rounds of competition, the ‘Kindergarten’ team from the Medical school won the champion. ‘The second to the foil’ from the College of Information Science & Electronic Engineering won the second place, ‘Baoji’ team from the College of Optical Science and Engineering won the third place, and the ‘Real CBEIS’ from CBEIS won the fourth place.
The match ended in everyone's laughter. “Shengyi Cup” badminton competition further enriched the students’ extracurricular life, provided students with the opportunity to exercise, and strengthened the communication between different departments. Friendship between students were promoted and the enterprising spirit of students at ZJU were fully displayed.
