On May 21st, College of Biomedical Engineering and Instrument Science (CBEIS) and Information Center of Zhejiang University observed the grand opening of ‘Wei Space’: AI Intelligence Hardware Innovation Bases. Guests from Alibaba DAMO Academy for Discovery, Entertech Inc., Quaero Life Science Inc., etc. were invited to attend the event.
Prof. Zhou Hong, Associate Dean of CBEIS, introduced AI Intelligence Hardware Innovation Bases. He pointed out that with the commissioning of ‘Wei Space’, CBEIS will speed up the construction of a learning, production-education integration environment, and explore a new mode for cultivating innovative talents. Subsequently, Mr. Zhang Zihui, chief engineer of Zhejiang University Information Technology Center, introduced the overall situation of Intelligent Space.

The second part of the launching ceremony was the Entrepreneurship Salon. Hosted by Mr. Yi Haoxiang, a 2014 alumnus of CBEIS and the founder of Entertech Inc. and Revolved around the topic of From Technology Innovation to Technological Entrepreneurship, the salon invited 3 host to talk about entrepreneurship.

Mr. Huang He encouraged students to think clearly about what they really want and actively explore their own development paths. He hoped that students could grasp the characteristics and advantages of the professional disciplines, clarify their position, face the difficulties, find the right direction and most importantly, be down-to-earth.
