On March 19, 2020, leaders of CBEIS met with Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine on the medical and industrial cross-cooperation meeting. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Yu Yunsong, Deputy Head of Scientific Research at Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital. Prof. Zhang Hong, Dean Professor and Head of The Faculty of CBEIS and Prof. Cai Xiujun, President of Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital attended the meeting.
First of all, Dean Prof. Zhang Hong thanked the Hospital for its strong support to the cooperation. He believed that through this connection, the cooperation would be implemented and phased results would be achieved. They would continue to promote the specific docking of full coverage, further improve the organizational support system and win-win promotion methods.
President Cai Xiujun extended a warm welcome to President Zhang Hong and his team. The cooperation was in line with the spirit of President Xi's recent speeches on innovative research. This time, the Science and Education department of the hospital produced a brochure of the cooperation plan so more teachers and doctors would be connected to the cooperation. Zhejiang University has excellent multi-disciplinary resources, which should be fully utilized to realize many innovative ideas.
Professors of CBEIS and Doctors of Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital gave brief reports on their scientific researches and wishes to the cooperation. They discussed about the needs and difficulties as well as the possible solutions. After the meeting, visits were arranged and further communication on the content of intended cooperation were continued.
